I’ve been drawing since the days of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, honing my skills through the mid 90′s X-Men and Spawn comics. In the late 90′s I got into freight train grafitti, constantly drawing letters and shapes in blackbooks. This hobby was a real turning point for me, and the better part of my senior high school years were spent in skate parks and train yards. Around 2001, I started playing drums for a hardcore band in Vancouver. My band mates at the time were 5 to 10 years older than me, and had been collecting tattoos. It was then i started getting tattoos, and drawing towards becoming a tattoo artist. I was able to do a makeshift apprenticeship in 2005, and by 2007 was working in busy Vancouver street shops. Watercolour and ink has since replaced aerosol cans, although i still paint the odd train a couple times a year. My favorite style of tattooing is my own modern spin on American Traditional (Neo-Traditional), although i am currently trying to learn more about authentic Traditional Japanese.
