I was born in Aug 1978 in Vancouver. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and always had an interest in art on the body.  There was many a time I was reprimanded for colouring in my arms, legs and clothing.
I started collecting tattoos on my 18th birthday. It would have been earlier but thankfully I was unable to find someone to do the damage!. I am still avidly collecting tattoos. I have tattoos from artists all over the continent….and some of the best!.
In 2003 I met Darryl Gardener of Tip Of The Needle in North Vancouver and commissioned him to do a sleeve. We became friends, and in 2007 largely due to him, the opportunity to tattoo had fully manifested. Although officially self taught I have had the best experiences, working with Lisa Schmoldt and Bisquette Bewelly of Otherside Ink in FL as well as sponging up all the guidance and advice I receive from my friends and  James Kern and Rachael Gilbert of No Hope No Fear in Portland. I also have been lucky enough to learn from the amazing artists and friends I have made at conventions on the West Coast.
In 2009 I enrolled at ECU (Emily Carr university) to study fine arts.  I also opened my own studio in December of 2009 In The Flesh Tattoos. We had a successful first year despite a near fatal car crash my husband endured just after the studios opening. Trevor has been recovering since and is now walking fairly well. We decided after nearly losing each other to use each minute as our last which brings us to the tour. We will be traveling for the next 6 months, and I will be working at studios all across USA and Canada. For right now, I’m enjoying it here at Adrenaline being a part time guest artist. I share my time between here and my shop in Bowen Island!
